Wrinkle Reduction with Botox

Botox Cosmetic Injections

What Is Botox?

Botox injections are a non-surgical procedure commonly performed by nurse injectors to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the brows of patients. At Trouvaille Med Spa we provide Botox injections to relax wrinkles in a patient’s forehead, frown lines, crows feet, glabellar lines, eyebrow lift, bunny lines, smile lift, and dimple chin. At Trouvaille Med Spa the procedure requires no anesthesia and can last for 3 to 5 months depending on the individual. Once the Botox injections have been performed, a patient will begin to see the results within 5-10 days. Repeat treatments are available once the effects of the previous treatment have subsided.

What to Expect from Botox Injections?

Botox is a purified protein that relaxes the muscles that are responsible for wrinkles that occur on the face. During treatment, very low doses of Botox Cosmetic are administered via a few tiny injections directly into the muscles that cause stubborn wrinkles on the face. Botox has been used therapeutically for over 15 years to treat a variety of medical conditions and is approved in more than 75 countries.

Botox is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures today and offers patients the opportunity to reduce wrinkles and achieve more youthful appearance. Many patients consider having Botox injections when preparing for events such as weddings or class reunions.

FAQs for Botox

BOTOX® Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines — the repeated muscle contractions from squinting, frowning, raising the eyebrows and smiling over the years. A Trouvaille Med Spa Beauty Injector specialist will inject these muscles with BOTOX® Cosmetic to temporarily reduce muscle activity. After injection you will begin to notice a visible smoothing at the treated areas anywhere from 5 – 10 days after injections.

At Trouvaille Med Spa you will be injected by someone who is licensed, trained, and a medical expert in facial anatomy. So you’ll look like yourself—only with less noticeable lines. No one should be able to tell you’ve had anything done.

Botox is not a one size fits all – Keep in mind every client has different goals and needs and because of this every Botox treatment will vary from person to person. When you meet with one of our Beauty Injectors, they will determine the appropriate treatment for you depending on your areas of concern.

Results can begin as soon as 24 to 48 hours, with full results in 30 days. Once your results have fully kicked in and settled, long lasting results should last up to four months. Remember that results vary from person to person though, so your provider will plan your next appointment based on your results and aesthetic goals.

Botox is suitable for adults who are looking to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, particularly those on the forehead, around the eyes (crow’s feet), and between the eyebrows. It is also used to treat other conditions such as excessive sweating, chronic migraines, and certain muscular disorders. Botox is best for individuals who have dynamic wrinkles caused by muscle movement and who are in good overall health.

The age to start Botox varies depending on individual goals and skin concerns. Many people begin Botox in their late 20s to early 30s as a preventive measure against wrinkles. Those who are starting to see fine lines and wrinkles that bother them might consider starting treatment earlier. It’s essential to consult with a qualified practitioner to determine the best time to start Botox based on your skin type, lifestyle, and aesthetic goals.

Before getting Botox, it is important to follow a few guidelines to ensure the best results and minimize any potential side effects. Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to the treatment, as it can increase the risk of bruising. Refrain from taking blood-thinning medications and supplements, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and vitamin E, for about a week before the procedure, unless otherwise advised by your doctor.

The recovery time after getting Botox is typically very minimal. Most patients can resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure. It is common to experience slight redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites, but these side effects usually subside within a few hours to a couple of days. It is advisable to avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and rubbing the treated area for at least 24 hours to ensure optimal results.

The number of Botox injections you need depends on the areas you want to treat and the severity of your wrinkles. Typically, treatment areas such as the forehead, crow’s feet, and glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) each require multiple injection sites. For example, the forehead might need 4-6 injections, while crow’s feet and glabellar lines usually require 3-5 injections each. Your doctor or nurse injector will create a customized treatment plan based on your specific needs and desired outcomes.

You can expect to see initial results from Botox within 3 to 5 days after the treatment, with full results typically becoming visible within 7 to 14 days. The effects last about 3 to 4 months, after which the treatment can be repeated to maintain the results.
