What to Expect
At Trouvaille Med Spa, we administer prescription Dysport in the form of an injection. We target the muscles that produce moderate to severe frown lines so that the untreated facial muscles still work regularly. Dysport allows you to freely show facial expressions, such as smiling, in untreated areas. When injected between and above the eyebrows it blocks nerve signals to the muscles, resulting in reduced muscle activity and temporary prevention contraction of the muscles causing frown lines. You should not receive Dysport skin treatment more frequently than every 90 days. Trouvaille Med Spa’s nurse injectors will recommend how many units you will need to purchase per treatment area.

HOW LONG DOES DYSPORT LAST IN THE FOREHEAD?
Dysport can start taking effect after a couple of days. Results last between three and four months. You will need to go back for more injections around this time to maintain treatment results.
WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO BEFORE DYSPORT?
Avoid the use of Aspirin, NSAIDS, Ginko Biloba, Garlic Supplements, Green Tea, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamins A and E, and essential fatty acids for up to 1 week pre and post injection as they will increase your risk of bruising.
WHAT SHOULD YOU NOT DO AFTER DYSPORT?
Do not rub or massage the treated areas for 5 hours after your treatment. Do not do strenuous exercise for 4 hours after treatment. Also avoid facials, saunas for 4 hours after your treatment. This will minimize the risk of raising your blood pressure and therefore minimize the risk of temporary bruising.

Dysport is also used to lift the eyebrows, reduce the number of lines in the neck, raise the corners of the mouth, reduce chin dimpling and relax the jaw muscles as a means to slim the face.
